Tender the Storm by Elizabeth Thornton is the 1st in her Devereux Trilogy of f/m historical romances centred around the siblings of an aristocratic French family fleeing the Revolution, this installment involving the age-old mixed marriage of convenience (she's French, he's English, together, they fight crime! or at least undermine political intrigue) plot alongside some daring escapes and disguises, free courtesy of publisher Diversion Books, who are e-printing it from its 1991 Kensington Pinnacle edition, which apparently was popular enough to get reprinted a decade later under their Zebra imprint.
