I've asked this same question for 12 months for New Zealand customers (via support calls to kobo and on Facebook). The silence has been deafening.

I've generally found it simpler to use Calibre and the available scripts to download newspaper and news magazine articles to my reader. One issue with the European papers is that so many of them require a paid subscription to access the whole newspaper, but often the subscription access to the website is a better deal than the subscription price through an e-book vendor.
