kobo firmware 2.5 font change issues
Hi. Since updating to 2.5 on my glo I am having issues changing font, line spacing settings. I have done a factory reset and re-downloaded the update just in case, but still have the same issues. If i try and make any changes to font face, size etc.. the kobo is very slow to make the changes and can display "updating font settings" at the top of the screen for a few seconds before any changes happen. It is slightly faster if I go directly into advanced settings, but not by much. On previous versions of software changes to font size etc. Would be displayed very quickly. Can anyone please confirm this "bug" and/or advise. Thank you

Is this happening in all books? I'm trying it out with both native & side-loaded fonts and it's pretty speedy on mine. Definitely changes in under a second; feels like perhaps a half-second or so.

It has always took several seconds on my Mini, regardless of the firmware version. Right now, the 2.5 doesn't change much on that level.

I got the 2.5 update last night on my Touch. It was completely painless. I haven't really noticed any changes yet. Might test out the "goes to sleep bug if you don't touch it in 60 seconds after first wake-up" bug tonight.

Hi. All books so far. Did a hard reset which has improved things slightly, but still slow to apply any font etc. Changes. Definitely got worse in 2.5. Also already tried a restore to defaults and reinstalling 2.5, so difficult to know what to do next. Only ever updated via offical updates, though with the initial update, which was via wifi, it got stuck at 100% and I had to do a hard reset for it to complete, so perhaps something got corrupted?

I've noticed that too. I got the update on my mini last night. I finished the book today that I had been reading, that one was fine.
Now all I can do is change fonts, I can't change the size or line spacing on my books. It's really bugging me. |

I've just completed an update to 2.5.0 on my Glo and all font changing works exactly as expected, I don't have any problems changing any of the settings and they all change very quickly. I tested this on a Kobo preview that I was reading at the time.

Apologies. Further investigation, reveals this was actually just an issue with one epub book, which I am presuming was corrupted in some way.
