OR Books - print-on-demand device agnostic
Just ran across this new publisher who seems to have some good direction for the publishing business:

It is an interesting site. On reflection, I think they are in most need of a marketing specialist.

Their catalog isn't crap. A wee bit liberal for my political taste but there are some interesting apolitical titles there. The cover art they produce is pretty good. Last edited by Rob Lister; 04-18-2012 at 08:46 AM. |

Their ebooks are are DRM free, and when one buys an ebook one gets a zip file containing ePub, mobi, prc, and pdf versions. The formatting of their ebooks is usually excellent. One can buy titles as print book, ebook, or ebook+print book packages.
And their customer service is fast, personal, and effective. All in all I'm very pleased with them - even if they are just a trifle too conservative for my taste. |

heavy sigh. It was a geopolitical illustrated pun whose elements are the geographical locales (west/east) and political viewpoints (left/right) of two respondents.
I can't believe you didn't get that. Falls rather flat having to explain it. |
