Those guys at Akihabara, Engadget, etc. got it all wrong... the SmartBook isn't a new device; there are at least two other identical devices, the Demolux dpad1 (second image) and Zupera Smartpad, which were both released one year ago.

The SmartBook is a rebranded device now sold by some Chinese company. Funny how many news pages picked up the story of the "new" device though

Screw tablet PCs, this PDA style device is where its at. I'm not going to play Doom3 on the bus - throw an iPod style HD and a collapsable full-size/paper thin KB in this bad boy and I'd be set.
