help sony prs 500 on vista
Hi I've been trying to install the drivers for my ebook on vista and it's been impossible. Before the end of the installation it tells me that the process was disconnected before completion and therefor my pc wont recognize my reader. Any ideas on what I can do?

Just a few thoughts...


Are you running the install with admin rights?

Do you have antivirus and/or anti-spyware software running while trying to install?

Have you tried with UAC turned off?

What drivers are you trying to install? Are you using the latest version 2.5 of the Sony software?

I'm trying to install the original cd that I got with the reader. I've also tried reacer connect 2.5 and it still doesn't work.

Do you have 64-bit vista or 32-bit? Alas, the driver won't work on 64-bit.
