Can I charge my sony with my kindle wall charger?
Will it hurt the device in any way? I really don't want to have to buy an official one from sony...

As long as the connector fits (i.e. you have the later model with Micro-USB), or you use Sony's cable, it should work fine.

I've charged my Sony 350 twice with the Kindle charger. It works. I can only hope that it doesn't do any damage.

I have read you can use a phone charger too if it has the micro usb.

Read the specs on the charger... I sometimes use my phone charger to charge my Kindle and sometimes use my Kindle charger to charge my phone... assuming that the Sony uses the same micro-usb connector (which it appears is the case) you can assume that the wiring is compatible, otherwise they wouldn't work when connected to the computer. The spec that you're most interested in is the voltage. If both chargers put out somewhere close to 5 volts (I think the Kindle wall charger is 4.9) then you're fine. Don't worry too much about amperage, as long as the Kindle charger puts out as much amperage as the Sony charger, or close to it, you'll be fine. Remember that 1000 mA is equal to 1 amp...
