HTML code in text files
I download text files off the internet but they come with html code for italics, for bold, among other things. I was wondering if anyone had any software you would recommend for cleaning up text files of HTML

If they have HTML code in them, they are HTML files, not .txt. You can usually open them with Word or OpenOffice, and save as text. However, then you lose formatting.
If you are going to use them on Kindle, if the HTML is simple, you can simply change the file extension to .txt, and read it on the Kindle. Or use Calibre or Mobipocket Creator to convert into .mobi format, to read on the Kindle. |
