Hi everyone, new Sony PRS-300 fan here...

Hi all,

Got myself a Sony PRS-300 as a birthday gift for myself. So far I really like it. What amazes me most is the smoothness of the screen and how crisp the text is. It's really easy on the eyes - possibly even easier than some traditional books I've come across in my time.

I found this forum just by doing a Google search for 'ereader forum', and it looks like a really comprehensive site.

I think e-readers and e-books have a huge amount of potential, so I'm looking forward to making good use of the MobileRead forums and other resources and learning more about what e-readers can do.

Congratulations on your new toy. Sounds like you're quite happy with your decision.

I have a Sony 505, and wouldn't leave home without it.

Welcome to MR, GizmoPlanet...

Congratulations on your new 300. I have the Sony 505 and it goes everywhere with me. I have a zippered protective case that I leave it in. That way it is protected in my purse, and all I have to do is unzip and read..

I hope you have as much enjoyment with your 300 as I have with my 505.
