Arthur Schopenhauer (22 February 1788 – 21 September 1860), was the German "philosopher of pessimism" who taught that the universe, at its most basic level, was not a rational place. This translation of The Essays of Arthur Schopenhauer was translated by Mrs. Mrs. Rudolf Dircks, about whom I could find no biographical information. It was published in London in 1890 by Sir Walter Scott (17 August 1826 - 8 April 1910). As weatherwax has already provided us with an ePub of this work, I thought I'd provide one for us Kindle readers.
