Question Nook Books downloaded over wifi not displayed

When connecting my Nook Simple Reader to Calibre, it appears to display only those books that were downloaded to my PC and then moved to the Nook. It does not seem to display any books downloaded directly from Barnes & Noble over a Wi-Fi connection. Is there a Calibre setting I'm missing?

No. The nook does not make any files downloaded from B&N visible via the USB connection.

So these WiFi downloaded files are somewhere in the Nook device memory, but B&N is somehow hiding only these files, or blocking only these files from being transferred via a USB cable? Other files that are obtained from B&N, downloaded to a PC, and then transferred to the Nook via a USB cable are OK to display? Any idea why they would do that?
