Au prix des livres numériques en France.... c'est sûr qu'il n'y a pas de "danger" pour les livres papier, mais pour la lecture en général, c'est une toute autre histoire.............

Je note avec plaisir qu'ils ne prédisent pas la disparition des liseuses dédiées, bouffées par les tablettes multi-fonctions. J'espère que cette prédiction se réalisera.

Je suis un peu dubitative, si on en croit le résumé de l'article, ils considèrent que le piratage devrait être limité sur la base de déclarations de personnes, dont probablement une partie n'a jamais acheté de livre électronique. Les intentions sont une chose, les actes en sont une autre. Je n'aurais probablement pas pensé, si on m'avait posé la question à brûle-pourpoint il y a quelques années, que le fait de payer un livre électronique au prix d'un livre papier me poserait de problème. Et pourtant, au moment de passer à l'acte j'ai du mal.

Sans compter le fait que les obstacles divers et variés mis à l'achat des livres que je voudrais acheter commencent à mettre un peu à mal mon honnêteté native ...

Je partage totalement ton point de vue. Je me demande comment Bains, que je considère comme un bon cabinet de Consulting (j'ai été moi même consultante pendant plus de 10 ans dans un groupe de Consulting assez connu), peut passer complètement ce problème des geo restrictions à la trappe. Ou alors y a t il si peu de français qui lisent en anglais ....?

Je pense surtout que le problème vient de l'échantillon interrogé. Comme je l'ai dit, il y a un monde entre l'image qu'on se fait de la lecture numérique avant et après l'achat d'une liseuse. J'ai découvert la notion de DRM grâce à MR, sinon j'aurais probablement attendu de changer de liseuse pour m'en rendre compte. Ce que je veux dire, c'est que les résultats d'un sondage sur des possesseurs de liseuse aurait peut-être donné un résultat différent.

Je sais pas si ça a été le cas pour tout le monde, mais c'est vrai que j'regardais pas vraiment à deux fois le prix d'un livre lors d'un achat papier, alors que depuis le Kindle et la magie des prix Amazon hors-agence, à chaque fois que j'fais un tour sur la fnac, j'ai un petit moment d’hébètement devant les prix des bouquins en france... Ça donne tout de suite un gros coup de frein, étrangement...

Un autre article sur l'avenir de l'édition

Il y a quelques semaines, j'ai lu cet article dans "Le Temps", un quotidien suisse romand, intitulé "E-livres: la voie francophone":

Très instructif sur l'état d'esprit des éditeurs francophones et leur approche du numérique. Avec des perles comme celle-ci (par rapport au fait que nous autres francophone avons une longueur de retard):

"La plupart des acteurs de la chaîne du livre entendent bien, France en tête, profiter de ce répit pour bâtir une digue solide capable de préserver leur système économique."

Ils n'ont apparement aucune intention de s'adapter et comptent plutôt forcer le numérique à s'adapter à leur modèle. Ca promet. Du coup je comprends mieux notre retard...
