Using a debricked demo unit.

I got given a kindle demo unit recently (on the top it says "DEMO" and "NOT FOR SALE") through the use of this forum and the excellent Kubrick software I was able to re-flash it and it now works like an ordinary kindle.

I was wondering however if it is still able to be synced with my amazon account; which I was previously using for the android Kindle app. My main concern I guess is they lock my account because I do not have a legitimate serial number or something.

I don't know if it's important or not but I think I should also mention that after the kindle was "debricked," the Kubrick software recommended that I jailbreak it as well; so I chose that option.

You should be able to register your un-demo'd unit.
It seems that Amazon never blacklisted the demo serial numbers.

What models have been successfully dedemoed or undemoed or whatever the correct term is?

Thanks,
Andy

I'm personally aware of K3, K4, and KT. Not sure about PW/older models/DX, but I guess it's the same principle. The hardware is the same, so if you manage to install "production" software on it, it'll just work.
