Ok now I'm a bit confused, I know the Kobo price includes GST and so does Apple's but does Amazon's? If it does, the price difference does not correspond to the appropriate 10%.

In Australia: it should, as it states in the screencaps "includes applicable taxes".
I was just mentioning that Amazon doesn't include taxes on the book page in the US. From your examples: The Casual Vacancy: Kobo AU$22.99 // Amazon US$ 24.34 (about AU$23.55) A Dance with Dragons Kobo AU$10.99 // Amazon US$11.48 (about AU$11.11) |

Alright, but still doesn't explain why the prices appear more in Australia because both websites are viewed when I am logged into an account registered in Australia.
