1. iSiloX 3.35 for Windows and Mac OS enters beta4
2. iSiloXC 3.35 for Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, and Solaris enters beta4

=======================================

1. iSiloX 3.35 for Windows and Mac OS enters beta4
----------------------------------------------------------------------
iSiloX 3.35b4 addresses the following issues from iSiloX 3.3:
  • Source HTML files that use only LF (0x0A) as line breaks may result in an extraneous '>' at the end of the content.
  • Font size set with <basefont> would not be held in content at the same level.
  • When removing single line breaks, the words adjoining the line break would become abutted.
  • Links within a page whose source URL does not have a path component may not work.
  • (iSiloX for Windows) Copying entries with cookies or schedules may cause a crash.
  • From 3.35b1: In the Add/Edit Schedule dialog, the Next scheduled conversion time would not be updated if a Once schedule was chosen.
  • From 3.35b1: When setting a Once schedule, the time would end up being whatever was in the start time field, usually the current time, instead of the chosen time.
  • From 3.35b1: When setting a Monthly schedule, when exiting the Properties dialog, the day of the month would incorrectly be set to the last day of the month instead of the user chosen day.
  • (iSiloX for Windows) From 3.35b1: .ixl files with spaces in their path would not be correctly scheduled with Windows Task Scheduler due to the need for quotes around the file name.
  • (iSiloX for Windows) From 3.35b1: In iSiloX Clipper, when the default properties has a sync user destination and it is later removed, it would not be removed internally.
  • (iSiloX for Windows) From 3.35b1: If an invalid user name is entered, upon reopening the .ixl file, the scheduled account user name would appear as garbage.
  • (iSiloX for Windows) From 3.35b1: On Windows 2000 and XP, the default scheduled conversion user name is now the domain qualified name to support multi-domain environments.
  • (iSiloX for Windows) From 3.35b1: When opening a new or another .ixl file, the current .ixl file would not be scheduled.
  • (iSiloX for Windows) From 3.35b1: If a previous document list was open and the user delayed the scheduled conversion until later, then if the user then created a new document list, the scheduled conversion dialog would popup for the new document list even if it did not have any shceduled conversions.
  • From 3.35b1: Rescheduling on the last day of the month may result in an incorrect next scheduled conversion time.
  • (iSiloX for Mac OS) From 3.35b1: Scheduled conversions would not occur despite the dialog indicating a scheduled conversion is due being shown.
  • (iSiloX for Windows) From 3.35b3: Changed schedule with Windows Task Scheduler to start every two minutes for a duration of 24 hours from the next scheduled start time.
iSiloX 3.35b4 adds the following features to iSiloX 3.3:
  • (iSiloX for Windows) iSiloX Clipper for Internet Explorer 5.0 or later. The iSiloX setup by default installs the iSiloX Clipper application to Internet Explorer, adding an icon to Internet Explorer's toolbar. iSiloX Clipper allows easy conversion of content as the user browses within Internet Explorer. The user can either select part of a page to convert or convert the entire page. In both cases, all applicable options normally available within iSiloX are also available, as well as the ability to follow links.
  • (iSiloX for Windows) Added support for automatic scheduling of iSiloX using Windows Task Scheduler to perform scheduled conversions for document lists with entries having scheduled conversions set.
  • Added support for automatic scheduled conversions within iSiloX when a document list is open and one or more entries have a scheduled conversion that is due.
  • Added Scheduling property page to the Properties dialog for specifying conversion schedules for documents. Each individual document can have one or more schedules for conversion. Schedules can be of the following types:
    - Once: A Once schedule is a scheduled conversion that occurs once at a specified date and time.
    - Daily: A Daily schedule is a scheduled conversion that occurs at a specified time of the day either once every specified number of days or on one or more chosen days of the week every week. A Daily schedule can also have an effective start and/or end date and time.
    - Weekly: A Weekly schedule is a scheduled conversion that occurs at a specified time of the day on a specified day of the week either once every specified number of weeks or on one or more chosen weeks of the month every month. A Weekly schedule can also have an effective start and/or end date and time.
    - Monthly: A Monthly schedule is a scheduled conversion that occurs at a specified time of the day on a specified day of the month either once every specified number of months or on one or more chosen months of the year every year. A Monthly schedule can also have an effective start and/or end date and time.
    - Always: A document with an Always schedule is converted whenever a scheduled conversion occurs such that at least one document entry in the list has a due next conversion time. An Always schedule can also have an effective start and/or end date and time.
  • Added options for removing horizontal padding to the Margins property page of the Properties dialog. The available padding options are:
    - Keep all left and right padding
    - Ignore all left and right padding
    - Ignore only left and right padding specified on body
    - Ignore only left and right padding specified on body, division, and paragraph blocks
  • (iSiloX for Windows) Added command line option -s for starting a scheduled conversion.
  • (iSiloX for Windows) Added command line sub-options p, s, and e for the -H option to selectively hide the progress dialog, successful conversion message, and error conversion message, respectively.
  • (iSiloX for Windows) For the source and destination properties, the Delete key can be used to delete items.
  • (iSiloX for Windows) In Tools/Options, added Scheduling page with an option for disabling automatic scheduling with Windows Task Scheduler and an option to hide the progress display during automatic scheduled conversions.
  • (iSiloX for Windows) In the Document menu, added Scheduled Conversion Account menu command for specifying the account name, password, and whether to perform scheduled conversions only if logged in. This option applies only to Windows XP and Windows 2000. On other Windows versions, the menu command is disabled.
Please note that this is a beta version of the software, and as such is intended for testing purposes to help eliminate problems and issues before the release.

Please report any problems or issues you encounter by sending an email to email@iSilo.com. When reporting problems, please include all potentially relevant details, including the exact steps used to reproduce the problem, OS version, and hardware configuration.

I downloaded the new beta zip file for Windows, but it crashes my zip utility (Stuffit). I did a repeat download, same result. Anyone else experienced this problem?

Update

Any ideas as to when the official "non-beta" version of 3.35 will be released?

From my experience Darren usually releases the first beta of a new version with all the new changes the final next version will bring. All successive betas are then bugfixes/corrections of the first beta.
So if the latest beta runs stable for everyone, I assume the Final will come out soon.

The beta I've got expires on Sunday. Does anybody know if a new one will be out before then? I would truly miss my scheduler.
