Unable to scan for Wifi networks

I have Wifi in my house and it is connected. When I turn on the Wifi on the PE, it tells me that it is 'unable to scan for networks.'

I have turned the PE off and back on again and it still will not connect to Wifi. Help!

The only suggestion I have is to make sure the physical WiFi switch is on (if the PE has one), if that fails add your network manually.

Would the PE just purge the code? I've had it for about 1 month now and connected to wifi numerous times and this has never happened. That's why I'm confused.

Since the PE doesn't have a physical wifi switch like the EE, all you can do is turn wifi on/off using Settings. If it says "Unable to scan for networks" then it could be the hardware is off even though the software says wifi is turned on.

If you're still having problems, contact Tech Support as this is an unusual problem.

I contacted tech support, it was a bad operating error so they sent me a link so that I could redownload it. It seems to be working fine now!

Sammie, that may have been why your apps like Nook and Executive Assistant were force closing, they were trying to call home and could not get out.

Ya. I'm so glad they were helpful. They emailed me the link and so far it is still working. Now, I'm nervous about downloading apps, though :l

I can understand why you'd be nervous, but I've never had a problem with any of my apps that made me wish I didn't download them. If you choose from the ones you've seen others here recommend, I'm sure you'll be just fine!

You can also make a post asking others if they've tried an app you're considering downloading.

This is one of a serious of problems I'm having with my PE. I've had my PE for several months now with no problems until last week. Now, I'm unable to run any programs (email, browser, calendar) without getting process com.android errors. And per this thread, I can't get wifi radio to stay on. I've haven't recently download any programs only a few books from the edge store. I have done numerous resets, including factory reset, but the errors remain. I'm certain it's an operating system problem and a re-install would solve it. Can you only get the link from Entourage Tech support?

Call them. They are pretty helpful =) And they seemed dedicated to diagnosing the problem and getting it fixed.

does anybody know ipass? i've got it on my iphone and they claim to have it for Andriod aswell. i can't find it and they are not responding on emails.
that the reason i try it here.
