<details><summary>title</summary>popup</details> works good in calibre content server and also in calibre's conventional reader, but it does not work in editor. Am I correct in this? Best regards, Pop

details is not valid in EPUB as far as I know. That it works in the viewers is just luck, because the underlying browser engine supports it.

It is responsive and trouble free so far. The only other kind of popup that I am familiar with is is <hover>popup</hover>. It requires a light touch and also will not stay open, whereas details does stay open. If it works even if it is not supposed to work, is there any reason not to use it?

If you are not selling the book, who cares what you do

If you are distributing. YES! It is a problem using non-compliant code. (heck, even compliant code fails on many devices

)

If you are using it for your own use, feel free to continue using it, ust be aware that many epub viewers will not support it.
