Good Morning,

My name is Carol and I just joined Mobileread today.

For Christmas my husband gave me the Sony Daily Edition. I love it.

I am a librarian in southerastern North Carolina. I swore that I would NEVER use a reader because there is nothing like holding a book in your hands. Then one day I saw a Sony reader in a store and told him I think I could use one of these. Well he took my at my word. I got it the day after Christmas and started using it immediately and have decided that I'll probably never buy a "real" book again.

It's nice to have another North Carolinian here--there are several of us around. I agree with you--I much prefer reading from my Kindle than from a "real" book!

As a librarian, maybe you can become an advocate for more lending libraries being part of the Overdrive system, which allows library member to "check out" ebooks. I use it in my city for both ebooks and audio books.
