PDF metadata from Calibre to Aldiko
I read a lot of pdf files and Calibre is an amazing tool for managing them on my mac.
But I have a problem when exporting them on my android tablet and import them into Aldiko. It looks like that Aldiko reads the metadata directly form inside the pdf file (or at least this is my impression). In fact when I get my files on Aldiko many of them have missing data (for example Author Unknown) and this is very annoying. Is there a way to tell Calibre to write metadata inside pdfs so when I import them in Aldiko I can see al the info? I tried also to import in Aldiko via Calibre server, but with the same result. Any suggestions? Thank you very much. g |

I forgot to mention
I usually use the "save to disk" option. I disabled the separate opf and separate cover. tried various combination, but still nothing. |

I found a way to solve the problem.
it looks like some pdf files don;'t like the metadata to be (re)written. I don't know why. So the solution that worked for me is to open "problematic" file with Preview App on my mac and save a new copy. Import the new copy in Calibre and now everything works! |
