I totally agree with Ciromattia (Ciao!!!!!)!
I prefer working on Kindle to working on PC so I tend to limit the needing of working on the comic.
BTW, Komic and KCC both try to fill a big hole in Kindles (reading comics).
And I think we are not going to see anything like Komic/KCC on next firmwares just because we provide a way of reading CBR/CBZ (aka "free"....).

If you get it compiled, I would appreciate a copy.

ciromattia;
How does the panel view work with these conversions? Does the panel isolation zoom work? Btw, thanks for creating the software, many people appreciate it.

Well, there's Panel View on the Touch and PW, isn't there? I guess the problem is that almost nothing uses it, and as far as I know it's still unclear how to generate a book that uses it yourself. Sort of like X-ray used to be.

If I'm reading correctly, the page HTML should be constructed accordingly, e.g.
Code:
<div>
<img src="images/hij.jpg" alt="Comic Book Images" class="singlePage" />
</div>
<div id="pagehij-1">
<a class="app-amzn-magnify" data-app-amzn-magnify='{"targetId":"pagehij-1-
magTargetParent", "ordinal":1}'></a>
</div>
(from Amazon's Kindle Publishing Guidelines, pp. 38-39)

A bunch of comics are already on Kindle Store.

KCC uses Panel View to remove margins and - AFAIK - enable a sim-PanelView on Touch and Paperwhite - but as said I don't own a Paperwhite anymore, so I can't check.
I was wondering if Panel View's zooming is really a valuable feature, and in that case maybe cutting images and building a more complex and heavy .mobi (each image would be multiplied by 5 - at minimum) would be a nice enhancement, cause it would mean quite an hard work.
Also, I would need a Touch or a PW for testing

@AcidWeb: can't test the package right now, but if you built it with cx_Freeze it should be ok, can I add to the binary section on the README?

Can you not just convert cbr/cbz to mobi in Calibre? Does that not work for the PW?

unfortunately not, neither for Keyboard, btw.
Calibre does not use kindlegen, so it comes with a "classical" mobi, with margins and stuff. Not so good to read comics.

So I tried your private version as well as KCC 2.5 on a manga volume. KCC gave me 25.6 mb something file and AWKCC gave me a 26 mb file, not much of a difference (original was around 100mb). But there were some pages out of order in KCC output while AWKCC one was alright. Probably because I had to use extracted manga folder as input for AWKCC as it only allow selecting a folder while I used original rar file directly with KCC.

Anyway what is the difference between your version and KCC? Other than page order and file size I didn't feel any other difference (I wasn't very thorough)

PS: Is there anyway to enable landscape mode in comic? I have seen comics downloaded from amazon store that support landscape mode.

@Sauyadav AWKCC is just KCC/KindleGen/KindleStrip wrapper. It is just simpler package for people who don't want mess with Python and command-line tools. It use KCC for conversion process.

Only difference is additional zero padding before images are handled to KCC. That fixed pages out of order.

There are not way to generate landscape mode comics. Yet ;-)

KCC works perfectly but it cuts double pages while Mokkle resize them in landscape.
It will be great if users could choose how to deal with double pages

Right now I use Mokkle to resize images (758*1024) and then I use KCC to get a .mobi file.

By "resize them in landscape" and such you guys mean "do not cut, rotate them" or something different?
