KOReader: alt status bar has become microscopic
I'm trying KOReader out (it's great!) and while tweaking the settings to find what works for me, I made the alt status bar tinier (and then even tinier).

I tried to change font size from 14 to 19 but it didn't change anything.

I added a picture to illustrate how microscopic it is at the moment.

How do I get it back to the "not for ants" size?

Thanks it worked this time. I’ve had to set the font size to 29 though for it to be half the size of the document’s text which itself is set to be font size 24. How is that?

These values, I believe, are not related.
Alt status bar values from from CoolReader engine (crengine).
KOReader’s values go through UI DPI scaling.

Default Alt Status bar font “size” is 30

If you are interested, navigate to koreader/data and open cre.ini (or something like this).
There are some other undocumented options (make backup first, of course)
