Hello - Help!!!
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question - but here goes.
My Kindle Keyboard WiFi has a totally corrupted screen. It's impossible to navigate as nothing is clear. I have tried all of the suggestions on Amazon's help pages. Have rang their help desk twice. On one occasion I was nearly able to understand the lady. Both employees seem to this the Kindle is DEAD. Are they are any suggestions please? Thanks |

Corrupt screen, I presume you mean something like there are a lot of lines on it, parts of it are frozen etc - like the following images shown here: google search for broken Kindle screen.
So the screen is cracked beneath the surface which means your Kindle is, as Amazon have stated, pretty much dead. There's not really a solution other than getting a new one. Usually they will offer you a replacement at a reduced cost, did they not do that? |

Mark,
Take a look at the photo in Post #6, here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...=kindle+screen If that's what your screen looks like, then you have a fractured substrate. As you'll see from that thread, your only recourse is to replace the Kindle. You can try to get a free or reduced-price replacement from Amazon, but there's no guarantee you will succeed. I was lucky. I hope you are too. Mike |

Get Kindle support on the horn again, and perhaps they'll be able to replace it or give you a good deal on a replacement.
Good luck! |

Strip out the humor and you will see that I told him that it was broken and needed to be replaced. That is what Amazon told him. That is what l_macd told him. Now you are telling it to him.

Brand new Kindle 4's are on sale at Walmart (19~25 Aug) this week. Pay $79 and get a free $30 gift card; which can be used immediately to buy something else. Such a deal.

It is but you've got to find it first!! I haven't seen a Kindle other than Fire in the Niagara Falls/Buffalo area for months.
