I am not sure on what the real time life of the Kobo battery is. Maybe a member that has one can chime in. I have had my nook for 6 days and still have 40% battery. Although I have been playing around with the lcd screen more than I probably normally would and I did browse the web for the heck of it to see what it was like. It has also been plugged in via usb while loading my calibre library, so it did charge a little bit. I figure I should at least be good for a week without charging. It doesn't really matter to me though, as long as I don't have to charge it every day or two like my phone when I was using it as a reader.

o i have another question, the nook is 6 inches, but is the screen size reading screen reduced? so like maybe 1 inch is taken up by the lcd screen? which makes the nook reading screen say 4.5 inches? were as the kobo doesnt have the extra lcd screen so its reading screen is around 5.5 inches?

^^ No, the actual reading screen is the same size on all 6" models. The Nook is longer than the Kobo. The Kobo is one of the smallest and lightest readers, which is why I was going to get one. After looking at the Nook though, it just didn't compare (IMO).
