Is there a way to see annotated book/document on desktop?
I heard you can't automatically sync desktop and device annotations, but is there a way to manually transfer the data (annotations+book) files/folder to the desktop kindle app - so that you can see annotations while reading from the desktop?

If you copy the files from your Kindle, they should show up, with annotations, in Kindle for PC.

The issue is only that Kindle for PC won't download send-o-kindle-emailed docs. YOu can always sideload them.

I believe the .mbp1/.azw3f/.azw3r files must be in the same root My Kindle Content folder, not in the .sdr folders the devices create.

so I've tried this and notwithstanding that the kindle paperwhite files are mbp1 while the desktop reader files are mbp things haven't worked. I've tried just pasting the hex code from one file to the other and this doesn't work either.

Is there maybe a way to convert mbp1 to mbp?
