Tipps zur Kontrast Erhöhung für PDF & Djvu Datein

Hallo liebe Forengemeinde,

dieses Thema ist dazu gedacht eine Anlaufstelle zu werden für alle diejenigen, die sich eine kontrastreichere Darstellung für PDF und DJVU Dateien wünschen. Es geht ausschließlich um wissenschaftliche Textbücher mit mathematischen Formeln und Grafiken.
Diese Dateien lassen, wie vielleicht schon bekannt auf Grund der mathematischen Zeichen mit einer Konvertierung in EPUB oder eine Änderung der Schriftart nicht bewerkstelligen.

Dabei sollen hier Lösungsvorschläge dieses Problems zusammen gestellt werden.

Ich selber benutze das Pocketbook Pro 902 und den Sony PRS 650.
Mit dem Sony Reader hat man wohl keine Probleme mit den Kontrast, weil dieser sich im dem Gerät selbst einstellen lässt.
Wenn es diese Möglichkeit auch für's Pocketbooks geben würde, dann wäre das Pocketbook mit Abstand der beste Reader auf dem Markt.

Tipps&Tricks

1)Eine Möglichkeit um DJVU Dateien kontrastreicher darzustellen, ist die Farbdarstellung zu ändern, von Grau auf Schwarz/Weiß.
Dazu gibt es eine App.

2Eine zweite Möglichkeit für DJVU Dateien ist:
Die Farbdarstellung mit dem DJVU Reader (WinDjView) am PC zuändern.
Die Datei muss man dann als Adobe PDF-Datei drücken.
Das klappt ziemlich gut, die Größe der Datei ändert sich aber.
Deshalb eignet es sich nur für sehr problematische Fälle.
Hier die Anleitung:
1. Öffne die Datei mit WinDjView
2. Gehe auf File -> Settings -> Display
3. Man mache ein Häkchen bei Adjust settings und ändere die Farbeinstellung.
4. Dann druckt man die Datei als PDF.
Fertig

Ich habe schon versucht dieses Verfahren für PDF's anzuwenden,
habe bis jetzt aber noch kein erfolg gehabt, aber ich bleibe dran.

Weitere Lösungsvorschläge sind sehr willkommen.

Imagemagick ist immer wieder einen Blick wert:

convert -density 600 -contrast -gamma 0.1 -colorspace GRAY input.pdf output.pdf
Dabei verliert man allerdings den "content" und die Dateigröße kann sich stark ändern. Vielleicht hilfts ja beim einen oder andern Dokument.
