Der Reader für Mac ist übrigens auch in Entwicklung wie MacRoumers und andere Newsseiten vermelden.

Ich weiß jedoch nicht, ob der für mich Sinn macht. Ich habe mir den Kindle ja gerade gekauft, weil ich nicht am Mac lesen mag …

Oder gibt es einen Vorteil, den ich übersehe?

Für Dich nicht - aber für Amazon schon. So können Sie ihre ebooks auch an Leute verkaufen, die (noch) keinen Kindle haben ...

Ah ja, das ist natürlich richtig. Die Armen!

Ich habe ja schon mehrere Jahre immer wieder mal auf eBooks spekuliert. Aber da fehlte immer etwas Entscheidendes: Das gute Leseerlebnis.

Selbst mit dem kleinen iBook auf dem Schoß im Lesesessel war mir das noch viel zu ungemütlich, und ich persönlich finde das Lesen am TFT immer recht anstrengend.

Jetzt mit dem Kindle passt das endlich mit dem bequemen Leseerlebnis!

Nicht zu vergessen, dass die Books (mit Lesezeichen) unter den einzelnen Geraeten eines Accounts frei austauschbar sind, das heißt, Du kannst ein Buch auf dem PC anlesen und dann auf dem Kindle weiter lesen!

Für jemanden, der ohnehin auf einem (Windows-)Netbook liest, kann Kindle for PC durchaus Sinn machen.

Das könnte ein Grund sein. Dann kann ich auch gut ein Backup machen!
