Advice needed

Hi All,

I am currently considering purchasing a Sony Librie or Hanlin ebook reader on my visit through China/Japan this week. My main usage would be to use it as a reader for my content which comes through Newsstand.com

Can anyone advise if I am able to download newspapers and publications from newsstand to the Sony or Hanlin?

Appreciate your inputs.

can you tell us which format(s) newsstand.com uses?

I'm pretty sure you can't access the files you downloaded from newsstand.com without the proprietary reader. And the DRM prevents you from copying too.

I had a very bad experience with the DRM of newsstand.com after upgrading my PC. I suspended the account just before the end of my subscription and for some mysterious reason, they refunded whole amount. I can't really complain about their service since I got all my money back but I think their DRM is unnecessarily tough.

Well, it seems that I am not fated to get the Sony just yet. I have dropped some emails to Newsstand.com, but no luck yet. Perhaps, I will have to get my newspaper content from a different source.
