The official DropBox app is out

DropBox has released the Android app to the market and someone has posted links http://androidforums.com/680165-post1.html here.

hmm... I installed this but in some ways it seems to work less well with the eDGe than the Droidbox Beta version I had installed before. Opening PDFs via library, for instance, doesn't seem to work on this version, at least for me. Also, there doesn't seem to be an option to open a file without re-downloading, or vice versa, which was allowed in the beta.

For me the beta had some issues as well - e.g. often got an error message trying to download files. Unless something's wrong with my install, seems like neither version is perfect at this point.

Can't hardly wait to download it. I've been using drop.io, which I'll continue to use for other stuff, but this is great!

I know everyone seems to like DropBox, but SugarSync has had an Android app for some time now that works great in full screen on the eDGe without modification. Essentially the same kind of thing as DropBox, with a free 2 GB option, etc., and I don't know which is "best". I just use it for access to my Calibre library and for that it works perfectly (except that Calibre keeps covers separate, so they're not transferred with the ebook, not SugarSync's fault though).

I guess I will give sugarsync a try. Thank you for the suggestion and link.

for Dropbox services, I prefer Droidbox, it can do multiple download.

I liked Droidbox as well, but it stopped working for me.

Using DropBox to quickly transfer files from my work computer that I need during meetings... saves the time it takes to connect via USB. NICE!
