Angry Apps keep forgetting user settings / data

Since installing Android Market and Link2SD I have the following problem:

Ocassionally _some_ of my apps forget about their settings / user saved data / license. Both - apps in internal memory as well as apps linked to sdext2 via Link2SD - are affected.

Not all apps are affected.

Has anybody faced this already?

Any ideas?

Ok, I know what happened. Some apps somehow received a new UID while the prefs in /data/data have another UID.

This can be resolved by running fix_permissions from via console while being root.

Alternatively, there is a dedicated app in the market...

I've been having this problem too but the apps just disappear and don't even appear in the fix permissions app.

It's a little ambiguous on the wiki... is the ext3 permission for link2sd meant to be created on the 2gb internal memory or a removable card?
..I've put at the end of a removable card (couldn't get it to create on the internal) so I wonder if that's causing the issue?

On external sd, you need two partitions:

partition1: fat32 - data partition, will be unmounted on usb connect and exposed to computer
partition2: ext3 - link2sd partition, will not be unmounted on usb connect

It happened again - I somewhat made my T1 crash when trying to install Kindle app via market. It went into a reboot loop.

I pressed the Reset button which made it boot up, but lots of force-closed dialogs popped up and ADW launcher, bar shortcuts, etc where unaccessible.

Fortunately I found a way to fire up PermissionFix via ADB:
Code:
adb am start -a android.intend.action.MAIN -n com.stericson.permissionfix/.PermissionFix
I clicked all listed apps and pheew: No more trouble... for now...
