Calibre can't see my Galaxy Tab P1000
As the title says. The tab is connected via USB and recognised by Windows Explorer as "GT-P1000". It does NOT have a drive letter however, which is odd, though I can and have transferred files to it both directly and via Samsung Kies.
Debug listing....... Version: 0.8.28 USB devices on system: [u'usb\\root_hub&vid1002&pid4398&rev0000', u'usb\\root_hub&vid1002&pid4397&rev0000', u'usb\\root_hub&vid1002&pid4397&rev0000', u'usb\\root_hub&vid1002&pid4398&rev0000', u'usb\\root_hub&vid1002&pid4399&rev0000', u'usb\\root_hub20&vid1002&pid4396&rev0000', u'usb\\root_hub20&vid1002&pid4396&rev0000', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_0809&rev_0010', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_0809&rev_0010&mi_00', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_0809&rev_0010&mi_02', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_c318&rev_5501', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_c318&rev_5501&mi_00', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_c318&rev_5501&mi_01', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_c52b&rev_1201', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_c52b&rev_1201&mi_00', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_c52b&rev_1201&mi_01', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_c52b&rev_1201&mi_02', u'usb\\vid_046d&pid_c626&rev_0318', u'usb\\vid_04e8&pid_6877&rev_0400', u'usb\\vid_04e8&pid_6877&rev_0400&mi_00&os_nt', u'usb\\ms_comp_mtp', u'usb\\vid_1a40&pid_0101&rev_0111'] Traceback (most recent call last): File "site-packages\calibre\devices\scanner.py", line 84, in __call__ DriveError: No removable drives found Drives detected: Available plugins: ADAM ALEX ALURATEK_COLOR ANDROID ARCHOS7O AVANT AZBOOKA BAMBOOK BLACKBERRY BOEYE_BDX BOEYE_BEX BOOQ BOOX COBY COOL_ER CYBOOK DBOOK E52 E71X EB511 EB600 EBK52 ECLICTO EDGE EEEREADER ELONEX ESLICK EX124G FOLDER_DEVICE_FOR_CONFIG GEMEI GER2 HANLINV3 HANLINV5 ILIAD INVESBOOK IPAPYRUS IREXDR1000 IREXDR800 IRIVER_STORY ITALICA ITUNES JETBOOK JETBOOK_MINI KINDLE KINDLE2 KINDLE_DX KINDLE_FIRE KOBO LIBREAIR LUMIREAD MENTOR MIBUK MOOVYBOOK N516 N770 N810 NEWSMY NEXTBOOK NOOK NOOK_COLOR NUUT2 ODYSSEY ORIZON PALMPRE PDNOVEL PDNOVEL_KOBO PICO POCKETBOOK301 POCKETBOOK360 POCKETBOOK360P POCKETBOOK602 POCKETBOOK701 PRS505 PRST1 README S60 SHINEBOOK SNE SOVOS SPECTRA STASH SUNSTECH_EB700 SWEEX TECLAST_K3 THEBOOK TREKSTOR USER_DEFINED VELOCITYMICRO WEBOS WEXLER Looking for devices... u'usb\\vid_04e8&pid_6877&rev_0400' u'usb\\vid_04e8&pid_6877&rev_0400&mi_00&os_nt' Devices possibly connected: None |

Thanks for the super fast response but no dice. I downloaded the Amazon Kindle app so I could easily transfer all my Kindle books to the tab. At least that was the theory. Aldiko requires conversion to epub format - far too much trouble and ultimately pointless - and Wordplay has terrible reviews for, amongst other reasons, not allowing Calibre transfers.
Looks like I'll be transferring everything the hard way. thanks again for the speedy reply. |
