New-ish Cybook Gen 3 user
Hi, I am a UK Cybook owner for over a year now and I generally use my cybook mostly on holiday. I am often clueless when it comes to technology but have somehow managed to transfer a dozen or so mobipocket books and nothing else. I am now trying to transfer some Adobe Epub books (I'm trying some free ones first) and altho I have downloaded Adobe Digital Editions to my lap top, I cannot seem to initiate the transfer of the free Adobe titles to my cybook, before I go ahead and purchase some titles that I actually want. Can any one help me? Thanks.

Welcome to mobileread ..... You can only load ePub files onto your Gen3 if you change the firmware to 2.1 .... The Cybook Gen3 and Opus have two different firmwares. You have a choice between mobi OR epub - not both together. Have a look into the information on the Bookeen Forum here on mobileread .... |

Thanks for your replies all. I think my best answer is to invest in an ebook which supports Adobe ePub since all the titles I ever want or on a format other than Mobipocket. I have had huge enjoyment and convenience and tech cred using an ebook but the range of titles is so limited, unless I want to read yet another thriller/killer from the fiction factory. Does any one else struggle with availability of mobipocket titles?
