calibre to ipad gives me extracts
What am I doing wrong??
In Calibre (latest version on osx) all books look great, untill I transfer them to my Ipad that is. I tried it via Itunes and through the server, both ways leave me with the same result. Weird. Anyone knows what I am doing wrong? or what I have to change to make things going normally again? Thx in advance!!! Dutch (not blond ) |

More detail please. You can read OK on your desktop with reader apps? Do they look OK in Calibre's reader? These are ePubs right? Have you tried other apps on iPad beside iTunes? (Stanza perhaps) - And what is "weird" about them? You say "extracts".. what are you getting exactly?

I can read them normally within Calibre on my desktop, I have no other readers because normally I don't read epubs (indeed that is what they are) on my Mac.
With extracts it's simple, every chapter on my Ipad only shows 1 or 2 pages whereas within Calibre it shows the complete chapters, on my desktop that is. That's what I call weird, I have the complete epub untill I move it to my Ipad, then it's a lot less, if you want to show someone a short preview of a ebook this is a perfect way of showing it. It all used to be perfect untill some weeks ago when it suddenly happened to me sad isn't it?? I allways use the latest version of Calibre, if this any help. |

Have you got Calibre setup to "connect" to iTunes? And you say you've tried a server connection with same results?
Is this public domain or an ePub you can legally share? (for me or someone else to try?) |

If you have a LEGAL sample of a problem epub you can send me LEGALLY I'll try it here on my end and see what I get.
You could also verify the file in Sigil. Are you now having probs with all your epubs or just certain ones? |

Go to Preferences - Output options - ePub output and make sure the split files larger than value back to 260k. Then reconvert the ePub to ePub and try it again.
