I saw "9 miles down" last night. From the Red Box. It really isn't much about underground. More about hallucinogens or evil or both. Hard to tell. The hole in the ground never comes much into play.

47,000 feet down is quite a lot, just as 47,000 feet up is.

Metro by Alexander Kaletski. Awesome book based on a real-life escape from Soviet Russia. Wish I could get it in e-book format. A forgotten classic.

It might not be published in e-book format, but Amazon in the UK have got a seller supposedly offering the paperback for one penny (UK).
