I had a PRS-500 which had problems with hard resetting. I sent the unit into Sony for the ePub upgrade and a Sony technician called me to inform me that my unit was defective and offered to replace it with a refurbished PRS-300. I asked for the PRS-505 instead and he said yes. The reason why he didn't offer the 505 at that time was that he didn't have any units available at that time. I was willing to wait for the 505.

Two days later, he called me back and asked me what color I prefer

I'm very happy with the customer support from Sony!

My Reader came back yesterday! I haven't had the chance to try it yet (I'm reading an other book now), but it looks ok, it seems to be faster!
