Question Can not change the gotosleep timeout

Hello, I have a problem with changing the timeout for Kindle go to sleep.
I am using Kindle DXG with OS 3.2.1 downloaded from piratebay.
I jailbroke and installed usbnetwork hack. And then I modified the
/etc/kdb.src/luigi/system/daemon/powerd/t1_timeout
change the last line 600 to 1200
but my kindle went to sleep after 10 minutes.
whatever number I change, such as 1200, 1800, 6000. Though I successfully made the changes to t1_timeout file, but the trick never works.
I don't know why.
Could anyone solve this problem? Thanks a lot.
For I would like to set it to more than 30minutes while reading some papers.

Can anyone confirm if there's any possibility of increasing the sleep mode timeout for this firmware version?

Before messing around with usb hacks and stuff I'd like to know if it's even possible

Thanks!
