Ricky, you should take a page out of their book. You know when a cat runs, full tilt, into a glass door, they just pick them self up and walk off with a "I meant to do that." attitude.

Start with one burlap bag. Add a cinder block or two (in a pinch old bricks will do.) Insert one or more cat(s). Tie bag. Toss bag into deep water. Let steep for ten years. Bottle the resultant catsup.

Oh, and before I forget ...
I put three coats of the magnetized paint on the door last night ... and nothing. Not even my strongest magnet would stick.
So, I read the entire back of the can. And, there ... plain as day was: 1. Before leaving store, have the can agitated in a professional paint agitator. Did I do that?? No. 2. Do NOT use a brush to apply product. Product must be applied with a roller. Did I do that?? No .... I don't even own a roller. So ... back to the hardware store today. Got the paint agitated and bought a nice smooth roller (sort of a really fine sponge material). I sanded the door back down and I'm starting over. AGAIN. Also, went by another store and got some clear calamine gel for my bites and stings. I also bought some stuff to spray around the house to keep the scorpions from getting in. I showed the sting on my arm to a few friends. They practically went white ... they were all ready to say "Oh ... that little thing??" and then I pulled up my sleeve over my shoulder so they could see this monster ... and they just went "Oh my god!!" But, the calamine stuff is helping, and I'm going to take some extra Benadryl tonight (I usually take four before bed ... so tonight it will be five or six). Sometimes it just sucks being me. |

Ricky, before you cover that primer with your chalkboard paint, try a small test swatch. It might not be strong enough to work well through a layer of anything else.
I'm really sorry to hear about your bites. I expect you've tried ice by now. It's probably well past the point where baking soda would do any good. But there's a product out there called "after-bite" that seems to really help with various kinds of stings and bites. I think it's actually made of (oddly enough) meat tenderizer. I've had good results, even if I don't get to apply it right away. Worth a shot, perhaps. |
