The device is available for pre-order on pixmania for 160€, delivery planned 11/25 (source (in French) : http://www.ebouquin.fr/2011/10/31/cy...-sur-pixmania/ )
update : I tried the links, but the device seems to be not available... Last edited by Papi; 10-31-2011 at 10:48 AM. |

That's a pretty reasonable price. Sounds good!

http://aldus2006.typepad.fr/mon_weblog/ (french site) says it's 129€, but there seems to be some confusion, because Virgin will offer 30€ of "gift card" to the 1000 first pre-orders...
What disappoints me is that http://www.actualitte.com (french site again) had a live blog about the announcement of the partnership between Cybook and VirginMegastore, and they wrote this at some point "Vitesse de défilement sans concurrence " pas convaincant lors de la démo which could be translated by : "Scrolling speed unmatched by concurrents" demo not really convincing Well, we'll see when it's out ! |

Finally, the info is up on the main website http://www.bookeen.com/en/cybook/odyssey
And the price? Sure it's under 150 euro, it's 149.99 http://www.bookeen.com/shop/europe/i...k/odyssey.html |

£129.56 + £11.83 p&p = £141.39 to the UK.
That's actually not too bad at all, and a lot better than I'd expected. |

http://www.01net.com/editorial/54614...iseuses-video/ (read about it on http://aldus2006.typepad.fr/mon_weblog/)
A short video in French where Virgin speaks about the Kindle and the Cybook Odyssey, you can see it for a few seconds in actions. It seems fast and reactive in menus, but I don't know if it's faster than a T1 for example. In turning page, it' seems the same speed as all the new generation which allows turning without full refresh (what about ghosting ? it seems it never does the full refresh). |
