Also das Video schaut schon sehr vielversprechend aus - für den Preis wird das dem kindle wohl ganz schön Konkurrenz machen. Ob man dort auch so lange braucht, wie bei Amazon, bis das international verfügbar ist?

Wirklich ein interessantes Video. Wenn die Software von diesen Reader auch gut ist, ist dieses Gerät sehr interessant. Allerdings befürchte ich, dass die Akkulaufzeiten wegen der LCD Farbbildschirm und Funk-Funktionen in Vergleich zu Konkurrenz sehr kurz sind.

Ja, das LCD-Display wird sicher Strom fressen. Hier dürfte man gut geraten sein, die Autoabschaltzeit auf die kleinste Stufe zu setzen.
So, wie es aussieht, tritt das nook in Sonys Fußstapfen und bringt seine ePub auch ohne Blocksatz. Ist das irgendeine neue Stilrichtung, oder habe ich da was verpasst?! Zum Glück ist B&N so vernünftig und versucht nicht nur, sein aufgekauftes pdb/eReader-Format durchzupushen, sondern setzt auch auf ePub. Wirklich interessant ist aber dieses "Lend"-Feature. Das wird sicher nur zwischen nook-Geräten möglich sein. Aber ein eBook für bis zu 14 Tage an andere ausleihen zu können, ist ein Novum. Ich hoffe, dass sich das Feature zu einem viel genutzten auf dem nook entwickelt - denn dann werden andere Anbieter nachziehen müssen. Und davon hätten wir alle etwas. Insgesamt ein sehr hübsches Gerät. Bleibt nur die Frage, ob es offiziell je nach Deutschland kommt? Ah, auf jeden Fall macht es keinen Sinn, über einen Kauf in den Import nachzudenken: Quote:

Wow, Preis-Leistung finde ich absolut top für dieses durchdachte Konzept. Und tatsächlich mit Android! Den Reader würde ich sofort kaufen bis endlich ein interessanter 8 Zoll erhältlich ist. Wenn man ihn nur bekommen würde :-(

Ich bin einfach überwältigt wie die wirklich alle derzeitigen Probleme gelöst haben. Etwa der separate Touchscreen.... War zwar eine super Idee vom Sony mit dem Touchscreen, aber wenn das den Hauptgrund für einen Ebook Reader verschlechtert: Die gute Lesbarkeit, dann ist das Konzept leider voll in die Hose gegangen. Da ist das separate Touchscreen im Moment mit Sicherheit die idealste Lösung! Denn ohne solch eine Funktionalität (sei es eine mechanische oder elektronische Tastatur) werde ich sicher auch keinen Ebook Reader mehr kaufen.
Die haben sich halt echt auf das Wesentliche konzentriert. Das fängt schon mit Android an... anstatt an einem eigenen System rum zu frickeln, das dann ewig Beta bleibt auf das derzeit innovativste System setzen, das nebenbei kostenfrei erhältlich ist *g* Nebenbei wie schon im TXTr Thread genannt der Vorteil, dass hierfür dann wirklich Addons geschrieben werden! Und nicht zuletzt gibt es vielleicht schon einige interessante Software, die für Handys geschrieben wurde. Und jetzt kommen ja auch noch Netbooks mit Android... Und den Effekt sieht man: Die haben dann wirklich Zeit gehabt sich mit dem wesentlichen zu Beschäftigen und nebenbei noch dieser spitzen Preis! Respekt! Jaaa, aber bisher ist nach Aussage von B&N nicht vorgesehen, das Gerät auch außerhalb der USA anzubieten.

Ich verspreche mir vor allem von folgenden Punkten Anstöße für den Markt im Allgemeinen:
- Preis: Für die Features ist das verdammt günstig - andere Hersteller müssen jetzt ihre Preise korrigieren, wenn sie überhaupt noch Geräte verkaufen wollen - Social DRM: Das Verleihen ist eine überfällige Funktion - bitte baut das einfach in den offiziellen DRM-EPUB-Standard ein - EPUB und PDF: Der Nook hat kein proprietäres Format - nach Sony ist das der zweite große Hersteller, der sich auf ePub festlegt. Wenn sich EPUB etabliert hat, kann man endlich davon ausgehen, dass gekaufte Bücher auch noch auf Readern in 10 Jahren lesbar sind - ein proprietäres Format wäre für mich im Moment ein KO-Kriterium beim Kauf. Am liebsten natürlich noch ohne DRM um Konvertierungen in andere Formate jederzeit zu ermöglichen. -Durchdachtes Konzept in Bezug auf den Buchhandel: Kostenloses WLAN in allen Barnes&Noble Filialen, spezielle Sonderangebote, wenn man dort eBooks kauft etc. So stell ich mir die Zukunft vor (siehe auch das Video: Wie werden wir in Zukunft lesen?) Der Touchscreen unten ist meines Erachtens der "kleinste" Vorteil - beim wirklichen Lesen ist der genauso wie eine kindle-Tastatur im Weg - ein Buch hat keine Tastatur. Es ist aber im Moment wohl eindeutig die beste Variante, um eine "Touchscreen"-Bedienung zu ermöglichen - da sind sich alle Kommentatoren im Vergleich zum Sony 600 wohl einig. Es ist aber nur ein Zwischenschritt bis in den nächsten Jahren farbige Touchscreen-Technologien ohne die Einschränkungen von Lesbarkeit und Akku-Dauer auf den Markt kommen. Dass der Nook offiziell nach Deutschland kommt, halte ich auch erstmal für sehr unwahrscheinlich. Allein weil außerhalb der USA kein Filialnetz vorhanden ist und somit auch kein Kundenstamm. Ich denke eher, dass europäische Ketten das Konzept kopieren werden oder eine Partnerschaft mit Barnes & Noble eingehen und wir auf diese Weise eine Art "nook" bekommen. |

Der Nook wird sogar in Chip.de besprochen. Interessanterweise steht da, das in Deutschland nur Ebookreader von Sony und Amazon erhältlich sind. Will da mal jemand einen netten Kommentar hinzufügen um die Unwissenden aufzukären ; - )
