J Neil Schulman -- sf author

J Neil Schulman has a website to self-publish his works of science fiction, as well as works by other authors. He clearly believes in lower prices for eBooks. No, I haven't read any of his work. He writes libertarian sf a la L Neil Smith. I found him because he did some landmark reviews of Heinlein's work as well as an interview. If you have read any of Schulman's books, please let us know what you think of them. Click here to hear the pulpless jingle performed by the Pulpettes!

Quote:
In 1987 J. Neil Schulman founded SoftServ Publishing, the first publishing company to distribute paperless bookstm by bestselling authors such as Harlan Ellison and Robert Silverberg via personal computers and modems and in 1996 he founded and now operates Pulpless.Comtm, which preceded Stephen King by distributing the novels of bestselling authors such as Piers Anthony, Robert Silverberg, Norman Spinrad, and Simon Hawke through the World Wide Web. Pulpless.Comtm also electronically distributes all of Schulman's own books. He has been recognized as a pioneer in electronic publishing as far back as the January 18, 1989 Wall Street Journal, which wrote "J. Neil Schulman has seen the future, and there are no books"; and more recently explicitly named as a pioneer in this field by the New York Times web site.

I bought the Heinlein interview book in pdf, paid and downloaded with no problems. It's on the L400 now, ready to read. I might buy some more of his books in the future.

Finished reading the Heinlein Interview book. It's well worth the $6.95 price, if you're at all interested in Heinlein.
