A couple of questions

Some more questions.

1. Can you connect to iTunes on more than one computer? I originally set up the iPad on my desktop. Just now I connected to my laptop and selected 'manually manage music and videos' and it let me add movies and tones to the iPad.

2. Can you only add videos through iTunes? I have DiskAid but it didn't seem like it would let me add anything.

If you want to add videos without using itunes, you'll need a 3rd party application. I use CineXPlayer, with which I've been very happy. When I say ":without using itunes" I mean without having to sync in the Videos section, without having to convert to something itunes understands (mp4 etc). I play avi in CineXplayer. Its a matter of drag and drop, using the apps tab inside itunes.

I try to connect only using one computer, otherwise it can get confusing for each computer if you add something one one that the other then doesnt have. If you are careful it will be fine.

1. If you are already doing it, why the question?

2. Some applications can yes.

Cause in the past I've only been able to add stuff to my iPhone with one computer and when I tried with the iPad and it let me add the stuff from my laptop I thought maybe I might have screwed something up in the original set up on my desktop. But I guess all is well.

You can connect to two computers if you have "home sharing" enabled linking the two otherwise, you are only able to sych to one.

Thanks. I've never tried the 'home sharing'. May give it a whirl.

The home sharing feature of iTunes is great. We use it to link an iPhone and an iPod Touch to the iTunes libraries on 3 different computers. It's easy to set up and here are the instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4557 (iPod and iPad are swapped btw, you'll want to expand the iPod section)
