LC/SC/RC ? (PRS-505)

Is there any difference between the LC/SC/RC models of the PRS-505 or are they just denoting the colours?

e.g. SC is the silver one, RC is the red one

If so...why is the blue one LC and not BC?

That's a good question. Of course, if you're going to ask that, you might also ask why they call it blue when on first (and second...and third...) glance it appears black. The RC doesn't actually make sense for the red one, if you factor in that they call the color "Sangria".

But, yes, there are no known differences between the various 505 submodels (besides color).

The color is the only difference.

There are a few limited edition models which have a custom skin or a different cover. The hardware and firmware is the same everywhere.

I suspect it's because B so often stands for black--and it's possible they're considering eventually offering a black Reader. Or they may use those color codes for other products, and want to stay consistent, so their manufacturers know automatically that "BC" always means "Black Case," rather than "black case for CD players; blue case for Readers."
