Although it isn't an official storm yet (which would make it the fourth in two months) it is very windy.

I hope the wind has a different direction than the storm on Tuesday because I spent most of the day closing the store door which kept blowing open a couple of inches.

Well... record breaking warmth before Xmas, now record breaking rainfall ....

Argh! I just noticed that our predicted highs for the next five days are all below or equal to the normal lows. And the predicted lows range from -11C to -18C (12F to 0F). This is not a normal December.

Ranged from drizzle to light rain all day long, with temps in the 40s (F). Tonight, not a cloud in the sky.

It's been on the warm side here, but with early sea breezes so it's not too unpleasant. Up North, however, is another story, with TC Christine (high Cat 3) scheduled to make landfall tonight between Karratha and Port Hedland. It's also going to remain a Cat 2 well inland toward Mt Tom Price.

Don't let the record rainfall bother you. No doubt the rain will have stopped completely by the time the next growing season rolls around.

Overcast here .... another cold blast from Canada arriving this week ... highs in the 30's F by Friday ....
At least no ice/snow is predicted ...

70 degrees in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Just got here and now I'm off for a 10k walk. It's sort of not fair to post on this thread when you are a nomad following the sun.

Well, New Year's Day was pretty good, actually. Temps were a few degrees above freezing for the highs, a few degrees below freezing for the lows, and it was mostly sunny.

But tonight (Thursday) through tomorrow we're scheduled for a blizzard. Total snowfall isn't supposed to be too bad at 7 inches, but cold enough and windy enough to qualify, apparently.

Bummer.

Current temp is -24C with a windchill of -35C

Tomorrow won't be much better but warming up for Saturday.
