I have no idea why Sony feels that they are doing well with they poor formatting. I know my wishes may not be the best for most people, but, what I'd not mind for purchased eBooks would be a small left/right margin of maybe 3 characters at 10 point, footers for the chapters, 10 point at small, and a small word space. That way, you could easily find a font size that looks good and is big enough. |

Being independent (and these days, no real editing help), I make a concerted effort to re-read word-by-word, reproof and repair such errors, and I know I've done a better job than many pro publishers. |

My biggest peeve with PG books is the endless licence text. Once I wanted to do a bit of reading in bed and I knew my battery was low but thought I'd get a bit of reading done before I had to recharge. You can guess the rest: the reader conked out just as I had finally clicked through to the last page of the licence agreement.

oooh, that would just infuriate me.
luckily, i can read mine while it's charging, so i just keep the charger next to the bed and don't have to worry about problems like that. |

A complete "non issue", in my experience. I find that connecting the Gen3 to my PC for 10 minutes every day or so suffices to keep the battery meter "pegged" at 100%.

I settled down last night to read "Canterbury Tales", don't know where I got it from but the formatting was awful. Had to change to another book...
Don't think it was a PG book, there was no PG licence at the beginning... |

Although a bit off-topic (like 180 degrees), but I have read Steve Jordan's books and I have not seen a typo in any of them. (BTW: They are great books.)

I agree about Steve's ebooks. I have caught a couple of "artifacts" like "DonR138t" which in context was obviously "don't", but only a couple of those over 4 books now, and no real typo's or other errors.
I sent Steve the artifacts I found, and assume they are due to transcription errors in the download, or upload to the reader. And terrific books they are! |
