problem downloading from Calibre

Morning, Am an old hand with Calibre. Recently bought a nook simple touch & proceeded to download from B&N & Calibre. Got, approximately 1/5th thru my Calibre downloads & got an error message that my main memory was full. Checked the device; only 1% of memory is being used. Can anyone offer help. BTW, my computer & OS are the same as when I bought my Nook 1st edition.

you probably are putting all the files into the root folder. That has smaller limits than sub folders for FAT filesystems

It has a limit of 63 files, to be precise. Subfolders have no limit.

You need to use them on your device:
The Template can help, but normally the driver tries to put books in a designated (base) folder

\Books\{authors}\{title}

would put a folder for each author
within a root folder Books
Within the Author folder, you would find the Title

If the info provided is correct it has nothing to do with calibre and everything to do with downloading all of your books to the root directory of your device.

Follow theducks advice and you'll be fine. Alternatively you only need to create a directory on your device such as /books and load your books to that directory.
