Twenty-something year old Starr is living the lackluster life of a depressed shut-in. The only friends he has are three odd imaginary figures: a ghost named Snoe, the plague doctor known as "Plagey," and a tiny blue octopus called Squish.

One night, Snoe brings something interesting to Starr: a strange device that can take them anywhere in all of infinity. In short, it was a mystical apparatus of dreams that could travel through time, dimensions, and space.

Starr, who had nothing left on his home planet, doesn't hesitate to take the opportunity to explore the multiverse and leaves his unfortunate circumstances behind.
