A monument to an a--hole in San Francisco. Seems fitting I guess.

Maybe I should start a second crowd source effort to build a foot high statue of him for the dog park, you know instead of a fire hydrant. We could see who hits the funding first.

Those perks are just crazy.
I don't have a problem with this other than it's a bunch of unknowns who have no experience in this trying to get it done. That initial funding is not going to get them anywhere. Maybe to get them the permission to stick it there, but the actual construction? No way. Most statues are donated to begin with. At least nowadays. And they require lots of maintenance, especially if they're going to be left outside for the public. |

A shrine. Not sure if Steve would have wanted that.

I pledge 1 cent if they promise to force Chinese children to build it for a bowl of rice.
I pledge another cent if they find a way to build it so that the battery cannot be replaced. |

Oh, no question he wouldn't want a shrine.
Insanely great is a requirement, not just a goal: Spoiler:
In truth, Jobs personally approved and launched his memorial: http://www.businessweek.com/articles...ions-nightmare Spoiler:
Kinda makes a statue, even a Rhodes-grade one, irrelevant, no? Don't tell the crowdsourcers, though; no sense ruining their game. Last edited by fjtorres; 08-17-2013 at 07:23 AM. |

Are we next to expect shrines for Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, and Zukerberg?
