Updating Books on the Kobo Arc7

I recently got myself a Kobo Arc7 but have run into a slight problem.

I am a big reader of fanfics and use my Arc7 to read them on the go, so as I create all the .Epubs from html files and as the fanfics add new chapters I need to update to books on my Kobo.

At the moment its a bit of a bugger if a lot of them update in a short period of time as I have to delete the book from the app before I can add the new one as when I try to import the newer file I get the error "this book is already on the device".

Does anyone know a way to make this go easier at all?
