Question RTF output full of ?

Good evening everybody,

Totally love calibre as it is so easy to use but have one major problem with it. When I convert a lit file to RTF output, the text is full of question marks (?) and I can't seem to find why it does that.
- she'd => she?d
- weren't => weren?t
- each sentence also begins with a question mark.
What am I doing wrong ?

Have a nice evening,
Afraima

The RTF output doesn't support non ascii characters like curly quotes, etc.

Hi Afraima,

You could try ticking the "Transliterate unicode characters to ASCII" in [Convert] - [Look & Feel].

See if that gives you a better conversion.

Good evening,
Thank you Jackie, your tip worked very well. The text now looks perfect.
I learn something new every day.

To Kovid Goyal,
I love Calibre, it makes life easier for a lot of people, thank you for spending so much time trying to answer our little problems.

Have a nice evening,
Afraima
