New Literary Short from Jacquelynn Luben: MAGGIES PLOT

About Maggies Plot:

A young couple moves into what they think is going to be their dream cottage in the countryside. When the local wildlife starts to invade their land, the couple soon realizes that every Garden of Eden has at least one unsavory character. A work of short fiction from our Nibs literary line.

Jacquelynn Luben is the author of two published non-fiction books, a novella, short stories, articles, poetry and two novels. She has written for various magazines, and also gives occasional talks to Surrey groups on self-publishing and publicity. Her story, Damaged Goods was broadcast on Radio Southern Counties in August 2006, and her novel, Tainted Tree, was placed second in the Winchester Writers’ Conference novel competition, 2007. She is a member of Guildford Writers and was shortlisted in the Guildford Book Festival short story competition in 2003 & 2004, and a number of times in Writers’ News competitions. For her degree in 2002, she wrote a dissertation on ‘Harry Potter and other children’s books’, and she is currently working on her third novel, Innocent Bystanders.
