Alternatively, try Acrobat Key. Always worked great for me.

Acrobat Key has saved me many a time as people forget or employees leave and seldom give their right passwords.

AFAIK Elcomsoft never stopped distributing theire PDF password cracker. What they did stop releasing is their application to decrypt DRMed PDF eBooks, and it doesn't seem there are plans to resume it.

I have a few purchased (encrypted) pdf books that I would like to transfer to my iLiad.

The only way I have found of doing this is to use Abbyy Fine Reader's Screenshot Reader.

This will get all the pages into the AFR programme but then you have the time consuming task of proofreading the whole lot.

It's not really worth the bother but I have one unread book that I am determined to convert and I don't care how long it takes me.

I shall never buy another encrypted pdf ebook again.
